Abstract:
To provide a device that prevents mis-stepping on an accelerator and on a brake, which is configured of a single operation body in which a brake operation body and an accelerator operation body which contact the foot are integrated.SOLUTION: An accelerator/brake operation device comprises: a foot operation mechanism 10 that is displaced vertically and laterally, and varies a brake stepping-on amount in accordance with downward displacement thereof: and an accelerator operation mechanism 20 that varies accelerator apertures in accordance with displacement amounts. The accelerator/brake operation device further has an interlocking mechanism 30 that makes lateral displacement of the foot operation mechanism 10 interlock with displacement of the accelerator operation mechanism 20. The interlocking mechanism 30 is configured by releasable engagement of one tooth form equipped in the accelerator operation mechanism 20 and the other tooth form equipped in the foot operation mechanism 10, and further is configured so that the engagement of the one tooth form and the other tooth form is released along with downward displacement of the foot operation mechanism 10 and then displacement of the accelerator operation mechanism 20 returns to an original position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
