Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container-handling crane device capable of acquiring a container even when an inter-container distance is small, and also to provide a method of operating a container-handling crane device.SOLUTION: Even if an inter-container distance detected by a laser scanner 22 is smaller than a minimum inter-container distance when a spreader 10 moves down such that the spreader 10 acquires a mounted target container C1, a flipper 17 on a side facing an adjoining container C2 can avoid interference with the adjoining container C2 by assuming a second position. On the other hand, a flipper 17 on a side opposite to the side facing the adjoining container C2 can guide a spreader main body 15 to over the target container C1 by assuming a first position. Lock pins 16 then allow the spreader 10 to acquire the target container C1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
