Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating gas separation recovery equipment capable of separating and recovering carbon dioxide from blast furnace gas efficiently and economically without constraints on equipment.SOLUTION: In the method of operating the gas separation recovery equipment for separating and recovering the carbon dioxide from the blast furnace gas in a steel plant, the carbon dioxide is separated and recovered from the blast furnace gas with the gas separation recovery equipment A by a pressure swing adsorption method, and moreover, power generated by using waste heat that occurs in the steel plant in power generating equipment B in the steel plant is used for the gas separation recovery process.
