Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a contaminant removing screen device for removing contaminant captured by screen members, and a screen system equipped with the contaminant removing screen device, which removes also contaminant originally passing through an interval between the screen members.SOLUTION: In a method for operating a contaminant removing screen device, a monitoring step (step S12) of monitoring a water level of a water tank is a step of monitoring a change in the water level on an upstream side of a screen member from a drive water level to an emergency water level, and control steps (step S12 to step S17) include controlling transfer drive so as to gradually block intervals by contaminant as not to pass through an interval until the water level is restored to the drive water level from a reference water level, controlling the transfer drive so as to remove the contaminant blocking the intervals until the water level is restored to the reference water level from the drive water level, and stopping receiving of water into the water tank when the water level reaches the emergency water level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
