Title:
An operation pedal device for vehicles
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6068751
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
An operation pedal device for a vehicle provided with an operation amount sensor, wherein damage to the operation amount sensor resulting from kicking up is appropriately prevented while the weight is kept from increasing. A cover member (42) is attached in order to cover a stroke sensor (40) disposed on a pedal bracket (14), and a reinforcing member (70) fixed to a pedal arm (16) is interposed between a lower wall (44) of the cover member (42) and the stroke sensor (40). Therefore, damage to the stroke sensor (40) resulting from a foot (76) kicking up is appropriately prevented. Excessive deformation of the cover member (42) is prevented by the reinforcing member (70), and thus, the cover member (42) can be formed to be lightweight and inexpensive using a synthetic resin. Meanwhile, the reinforcing member (70) needs only to be provided in the minimum necessary range taking into consideration the kicking direction or the like in order to prevent damage or deformation of the cover member (42), and thus, it is possible to form the reinforcing member (70) to be lightweight and inexpensive overall while retaining a prescribed strength.
