PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support technique capable of preventing an accident even when a driver does not sense danger.SOLUTION: A driving support device comprises: biological information acquisition means for acquiring biological information on a fellow passenger who is a passenger other than a driver; tension level determination means for determining a tension level of the fellow passenger on the basis of the biological information; and driving operation support means for supporting driving operation on the basis of the tension level. It is preferable that the tension level determination means determines the tension level if it is determined that the fellow passenger looks out of a vehicle and if a face direction of the fellow passenger faces forward on the basis of a direction of eyes of the fellow passenger. It is also preferable that the tension level determination means determines the tension level if it is determined that the fellow passenger is not in an excited condition on the basis of voice of the fellow passenger.
