Abstract:
To provide an optical low-pass filter which uses four or more layers of optical anisotropic elements and yet is thin and strong.SOLUTION: An optical low-pass filter 10 is provided, comprising first, second, third, and fourth optical anisotropic elements 1, 2, 4, 5 disposed in order from the light incident side to the light exit side, each optical anisotropic element being designed to split an incident ray to multiple rays. The first and the fourth optical anisotropic elements are made of quartz, while the second and the third optical anisotropic elements are made of lithium niobate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
