Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member, with which an image display device having extremely superior appearance can be achieved.SOLUTION: The optical member includes a front plate, a smoothing layer, a polarizer and a retardation film, in this order, and has a printed layer formed in a peripheral part on a surface of the front plate on the smoothing layer side. In one embodiment, the front plate consists of a resin film having a thickness of 20 μm to 100 μm. In another embodiment, the smoothing layer consists of a cured layer of an energy ray-curable resin.
