Abstract:
To meet the demand for miniaturization.SOLUTION: An optical module includes: a rigid substrate 14; a flexible substrate 16; a connector 44 that electrically connects the rigid substrate 14 and the flexible substrate 16 to each other; and an optical subassembly 10 that is electrically connected to at least one of the rigid substrate 14 and the flexible substrate 16 and converts an optical communication signal and an electrical communication signal from at least one to the other. The rigid substrate 14 has a first fixing region 52 to which the connector 44 is fixed, in at least one of the first front and back surfaces 14a and 14b. The flexible substrate 16 has a second fixing region 54 to which the connector 44 is fixed, in at least one of the second front and back surfaces 16a and 16b. The first fixing region 52 and the second fixing region 54 extend along the directions intersecting each other. The second fixing region 54 is outside the rigid substrate 14 in the direction along the first front and back surfaces 14a and 14b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
