Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical physical quantity measurement device that measures the quantity or density of measurement object molecules in a medium with high accuracy from immediately after start or restart of operation, and a light source control method therefor.SOLUTION: A measurement light detection unit 102 outputs a signal that corresponds to light outputted by a light source 101 as a measurement output. A light source state detection unit 105 acquires the state of the light source 101. A light source control unit 103 controls the drive state of the light source 101. An arithmetic unit 104 calculates the quantity or density of measurement object molecules on the basis of the measurement output from the measurement light detection unit 102. The light source control unit 103 controls the state of electric power supply under a plurality of drive conditions for the light source 101 by an instruction from the arithmetic unit 104 and in accordance with the light source state acquired from the light source state detection unit 105. The arithmetic unit 104 periodically drives the light source 101 via the light source control unit 103.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
