Abstract:
To provide an optical recording medium which is not color faded by environmental light, such as indoor light.
The optical recording medium having an optical memory layer containing a photochromic compound comprises providing the optical recording medium with a cut layer capable of substantially shielding the light of a wavelength region where a single photon photochromic reaction is induced and of transmitting the light of the wavelength at which the two-photon photochromic reaction of the photochromic compound can be induced and the recording/ reproducing method for the same.
