Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system for video projection arrangement capable of effectively correcting trapezoidal distortion of projected image even with a compact configuration.SOLUTION: An optical system PL for video projection arrangement for enlarging a video displayed at a video display element DS to project the video at a predetermined projection surface from an oblique direction comprises: a rotationally symmetric lens group G1 formed in a manner that is rotationally symmetric to a central axis; an adjustable surface lens group G2 formed in a manner that is not rotationally symmetric to the central axis; and an adjustable surface mirror M having a reflection surface formed in a manner that is not rotationally symmetric to the central axis. In the adjustable surface lens group G2, a lens surface on the image side of an adjustable surface lens L23 closest to the adjustable surface mirror M is shaped in such a manner that a convex surface thereof faces the adjustable mirror M in y-z cross-section.
