Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system which is a low cost, lightweight, and compact and which is a high performance system.SOLUTION: An optical system 1 has at least one lens, where the at least one lens includes a first lens L21 through which a beam of light for forming an image of a section eccentric with respect to an optical axis 7 passes eccentrically with respect to the optical axis, and at least one surface of the first lens L21 includes a plurality of areas having different optical characteristics, the areas being switched by a focusing unit 52 that rotates the first lens L21 around the optical axis, which serves as a rotational axis. A typical example of the plurality of areas includes: a first area for forming an image at a short distance; and a second area for forming an image at a long distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
