Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter module and an optical transceiver module having less power consumption.SOLUTION: The optical transmitter module, to which differential signals composed of a normal phase signal and a reverse phase signal are input, includes: a laser oscillator which outputs a laser beam; an optical modulator which modulates the laser beam by the normal phase signal; a reverse phase termination resistor 104 for terminating a reverse phase signal; a Peltier element 205 having a first region and a second region in which heat exchange is performed; a substrate 105 attached to the first region to enable heat conduction; and a hermetically sealed package 201 having at least the laser oscillator, the optical modulator, the reverse phase termination resistor, the Peltier element and the substrate disposed inside. The laser oscillator and the optical modulator are loaded on the substrate to enable heat conduction to the first region. The reverse phase termination resistor is disposed outside the substrate to avoid heat conduction to the first region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
