Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the optimal depths of images captured, respectively, by a plurality of imaging apparatuses.SOLUTION: A depth determination device generates a plurality of composite images of different depth representing the distance from a virtual viewpoint of a predetermined position, by using a plurality of input images captured by at least two imaging devices 70-1 through 70-M installed around a region including the predetermined position so that the region including the predetermined position becomes an imaging range, and determines the depth of a composite image having the largest contrast, out of the plurality of composite images, as the optimal depth of each input image based on the contrast from the plurality of composite images thus generated, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
