Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods which enhance the gingiva by inhibiting intercellular adhesion failure due to the decreased expression of intercellular adhesion factor by proinflammatory cytokine caused by physical or chemical stimulations to inhibit gingival regression or the formation of a periodontal pocket.SOLUTION: A composition containing at least one selected from the group consisting of glycyrrhizinic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, sodium copper chlorophyllin, and triclosan is used as a gingiva care agent (an agent for inhibiting reduction in intercellular adhesion factor expression, an agent for inhibiting failure in gingival epithelial cell adhesion, a gingival recession inhibitor, a periodontal pocket formation inhibitor, or a gingiva enhancer), or as a gingiva care oral composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
