Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element, a display device and a luminaire which have an increased light emission efficiency and an improved durability.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element comprises an anode, a cathode and a light-emitting layer including a palladium complex having a structure expressed by the general formula (1). [In the formula, Pd represents a quadrivalent palladium atom with a coordination number of 6. The ring A represents an aromatic ring having a carbon atom making a covalent bond with Pd. The ring B represents an aromatic ring having Q(a carbon, nitrogen or phosphorus atom) making a coordinate bond with Pd. L, Land Leach represent a monodentate or bidentate ligand, any one of which may connect between the rings A and B to form a tridentate ligand. m represents 1 or 2, and n represents 0 or 1.]
