Title:
An organic electroluminescence element, a display, and a lighting installation
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6036204
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which has high luminous efficiency, a long emission life, and a low driving voltage, and to provide a display device, and a lighting device using the organic electroluminescent element.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element which has, between an anode and a cathode, a light-emitting layer and an electron transport layer adjacent to the cathode side of the light-emitting layer is characterized in that: the light-emitting layer contains a 6-coordination tetravalent platinum complex having multidentate ligands; at least one of the multidentate ligands is a carbene ligand having a moiety coordinately bonded to a platinum atom; and the electron transport layer adjacent to the cathode side of the light-emitting layer contains a compound having as a skeleton an aromatic heterocyclic ring containing a nitrogen atom.
