Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an organic electroluminescent element having high luminous efficiency and a long life; and a display device and an illuminating device using the same.SOLUTION: A light-emitting layer contains a phosphorescent compound represented by the general formula (A) and a host compound. The phosphorescent compound has a HOMO level of -5.15 to -3.50 eV and a LUMO level of -1.25 to +1.00 eV. The host compound has a 0-0 band of the phosphorescence at 460 nm or less, and a glass transition temperature of 90°C or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
