Abstract:
Provided is an organic electroluminescent element having superior luminous efficiency and durability as well as a low drive voltage and superior heat resistance. The organic electroluminescent element has a pair of electrodes formed on a substrate from a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and at least one organic layer containing a light emitting layer between these electrodes. The organic electroluminescent element has a six member aromatic ring in a specific position on a triphenylene skeleton such as that in the formula in at least one of the organic layers and contains a compound in which a condensed ring group containing a sp3 carbon is substituted in the meta position of the triphenylene with the six member aromatic ring.
