Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst deterioration diagnosis device and an oxidation catalyst deterioration diagnosis method capable of early diagnosing deterioration that causes heat damage to a reduction catalyst in an oxidation catalyst disposed upstream of the reduction catalyst without a collecting device interposed therein.SOLUTION: An oxidation catalyst deterioration diagnosis device includes: an inlet temperature sensor 43 disposed at an inlet of a first reduction catalyst 35 to acquire an inlet temperature T3 of exhaust gas before it passes through the first reduction catalyst 35; an outlet temperature sensor 42 disposed at an outlet of a first oxidation catalyst 31 to acquire an outlet temperature T2 of exhaust gas after it has passed through the first oxidation catalyst 31; and determination means 44 for determining whether or not the inlet temperature T3 is higher than the outlet temperature T2 by a predetermined deterioration temperature ΔT. When the determination means 44 determines that the inlet temperature T3 is higher than the outlet temperature T2 by the deterioration temperature ΔT, deterioration of the first oxidation catalyst 31 disposed upstream from the inlet temperature sensor 43 is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
