Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for selectively holding a package opening part in an opened configuration, and the package including the device applied to a package body.SOLUTION: A device includes a peripheral strip having a side closure formed as a vertical or longitudinal hinge. One or more tabs extend in a first axial direction from the upper edge side of the peripheral strip in the side closure. Each tab is connected to the peripheral strip with a horizontal or lateral hinge. The tab is pivotable about the horizontal or lateral hinge away from the opening axis in opposing directions to the respective folding positions, thereby preventing the device from being folded at the side closure, to maintain the device and the opened aperture configuration of the package. The vertical hinge includes a cut line or perforation line that passes through the entire material thickness of the peripheral strip and the one or more tabs, and extends over the majority of the overall axial length of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
