Abstract:
Switch for detecting the presence of an electronic memory card (C) in a read/write device, of the type comprising a housing (12) and switch controlling means cooperating with the front transverse edge (18) of the card (C). The invention is characterized in that the control means include an elastically deformable control blade (32), a first end (36) being embedded in a switch housing (12) and a second end (42) cooperating with a switch triggering member (26) and including a control lever (34) acting the second end (42) of the control blade (32) and pivoting about an axis parallel to the plane of the card (C) in response to a control load applied thereto by the front transverse card edge. The invention enables a normally open type switch or a normally closed type switch to be provided using the same switch housing.
