Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic insulated wire that is easy to manufacture and has high heat resistance by containing yttrium in an insulating cover formed by use of ceramics or a ceramic precursor. SOLUTION: This insulating cover paint contains yttrium in addition to ceramics or a ceramic precursor. Examples of the ceramics and the ceramic precursor for use in the insulating cover paint are desirably compounds obtained by the hydrolysis and dehydration condensation of an inorganic polymer, such as polypolosiloxane resin, polysiloxane resin, polycarbosilane resin, polysilastyrene resin, polycarbosilane resin, polysilastyrene resin, polytitanocarbosilane resin, and polysilazane resin, and a metal alkoxide, and their precursors, etc. Yttrium is added, preferably by 0.5 to 5 parts by weight, to 100 parts by weight of any of those resins or their precursors, so that a solid, heat-resistant coating is formed.
