Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which a sheet cannot be uniformly humidified due to dropping of accumulated water from a nip part since water is accumulated in the upper part of the nip part in the nip part between two rollers carrying water on the outer peripheral surfaces respectively.SOLUTION: A sheet humidifier which humidifies a sheet by holding and conveying the sheet by a humidification roller pair formed of an upper humidification roller humidifying the sheet from above and a lower humidification roller humidifying the sheet from below while carrying water on its surfaces includes: an upper water supply roller which carries water on its surface and supplies water to the upper humidification roller; and an upper contact member which is brought into contact with the upper water supply roller. The upper contact member is formed of a water absorptive member which can absorb water accumulated in the nip part formed with contact between the upper water supply roller and the upper contact member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
