To provide a paper sheet counting sorter capable of adding stackers easily and improving workability.
The paper sheet counting sorter 1 includes: a machine body 9; a hopper 5 provided on a front face lower part of the machine body 9; a plurality of stackers 11 provided on the front face of the machine body 9; a feeding part 15 for feeding paper sheets mounted on the hopper 5; a first carrier part 19 for carrying fed paper sheets to any one of the plurality of stackers 11 in the first carrier direction which is the same as a feeding direction, making a change of direction at 90 degrees from the first carrier direction, and carrying them leftward X1 of the machine body 9; a reading part 16 for reading information on the fed paper sheet; a determination part 17 for determining the kind of paper sheet on the basis of the read information; a classification part 18 for controlling the first carrier part 19 so that sorting into the stackers 11 or added stacker units 3 and 4 is performed in accordance with the determination result; and a control unit 22 for counting the number of paper sheets sorted into the respective stackers 11.
