PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "Parking assistance device and driving prediction line display method" capable of easily confirming a degree of parallelism between a vehicle and a parking frame line and a predicted traveling locus of the vehicle without removing a line of sight of a driver from a parking assistance image.SOLUTION: A parking assistance device is comprised of: a parking frame line detecting unit 13 for detecting a frame line of a parking frame to be parked by a vehicle; a parallelism detecting unit 15 for detecting a parallelism between the detected parking frame line and the vehicle; and a display control unit 16 for changing a display mode of the travel prediction line according to the parallelism between the parking frame line and the vehicle when superimposing and displaying the driving prediction line on a parking assistance image, wherein it is possible to confirm a predicted traveling locus of the vehicle on the basis of the traveling prediction line displayed superimposed on the parking assistance image, and at the same time, to confirm a degree of the parallelism between the vehicle and the parking frame line according to the display mode of the traveling prediction line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
