Abstract:
To provide a particle production device and a frozen particle production method capable of rapidly producing frozen particles while suppressing clogging of a nozzle due to freezing.SOLUTION: A particle production device comprises: a freezing chamber that houses frozen particles in which a material to be treated containing moisture is frozen in a particulate manner; an ultrasonic nozzle that releases the material to be treated after freezing or before freezing into particles into the freezing chamber; and a decompression device that decompresses the freezing chamber. The frozen particles are subjected to decompression to evaporate the moisture, and are cooled and frozen by the evaporation of the moisture. The freezing chamber is also used as a decompressive drying chamber for drying the frozen particles under a decompression environment to form frozen-dried particles, and further comprises an agitation device that agitates the frozen particles in the freezing chamber. The agitation device comprises a rotation device that rotates the freezing chamber, and is configured so that the frozen particles contained in the freezing chamber can be agitated by the rotation of the freezing chamber. The particle production device can agitate the frozen particles while forming the frozen particles, and can dry the frozen particles while agitating the frozen particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
