Title:
PASSIVE STARTING SAFETY DEVICE FOR NUCLEAR REACTOR BASED ON ABNORMAL REDUCTION OF PRIMARY FLOW RATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017096953
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive starting safety device for a nuclear reactor which is passively activated in cases in which the flow rate of a coolant inside a primary circuit is abnormally reduced.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a device including an assembly having a sheath 200 which is allowed to pass a coolant in a longitudinal direction and a movable part 100 capable of performing a translating movement along a longitudinal direction 3 inside the sheath 200 and having a neutrophage portion. The movable part 100 includes a first floatation portion 110. The sheath 200 includes a second floatation portion 210. The first and second floatation portions 110 and 210 are arranged so as to face each other in the first and second floatation portions 110 and 210. When the flow rate of the coolant which passes through the sheath 200 in the longitudinal direction exceeds a flow rate threshold value, the coolant is molded in a form adapted to apply a sufficient force to the movable part 100 so as to guarantee a floatation of the movable part inside the sheath 200 and the maintenance by a floatation structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
