Abstract:
To provide a fluid cleaning structure by a photocatalyst which can be thinned and downsized and has a high degree of freedom in a design of a flow passage structure, as a photocatalyst unit which can improve a fluid cleaning action by a photocatalyst by efficiently irradiating the photocatalyst with ultraviolet rays, and comprises a photocatalyst filter and a light irradiation part.SOLUTION: A photocatalyst unit comprises: a photocatalyst filter in which a fluid passage hole for allowing fluid to pass is formed on one or both of an apex of a crest part and a bottom of a trough part, and which carries a photocatalyst; and a light irradiation part which is provided in one or both of one end side and the other end side in a direction in which the crest part and the trough part of the photocatalyst filter extend, and irradiates the inner side with ultraviolet rays or light of visible light. The light irradiation part is provided with a metallic light source mounting base of a nearly square U-shape or U-shape in a cross-sectional view, comprising plate-like base parts arranged to face each other along an end surface at the one end side or the other end side for allowing a light source to be mounted thereon, and a pair of support pieces extending from each of end sides at the photocatalyst filter front face side and rear face side of the base part to a filter side, and fixed to the front face or the rear face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
