Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic lens unit and an operation control method of the photographic lens unit which allow a camera body and the photographic lens unit to communicate with each other even if there is no main CPU board.SOLUTION: A photographic lens unit 1 includes plural CPU boards 11 to 22 which communicate with one another via a network line. The plural CPU boards 11 to 22 are independent from one another and equipped with respective CPUs. A camera communication CPU board 11 is connected with a camera body 41. A command transmitted from the camera body 41 is converted to a communication protocol within the photographic lens unit by the camera communication CPU board 11. The converted command is transmitted to one of the CPU boards 11 to 22.
