Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston which can withstand high pressure and can reduce a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: The piston is in the shape of a circular cylinder and has: a concave spherical portion in the shape of a partial sphere and a hollow portion in the shape of a circular cylinder formed at ends respectively; and an oil passage formed between the concave spherical portion and the hollow portion for communication therebetween. The concave spherical portion has a forged concave spherical surface in the shape of a partial sphere, the convex spherical surface slidably rotatably supporting a convex spherical portion of a shoe, where the area of the concave spherical surface in contact with a predetermined master sphere, to which the convex spherical portion conforms, is 40% or more of the total area of the concave spherical surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
