Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pinching accident of an operator's hand or leg, or the like by eliminating the attaching operation of a removing handle for removing a plate which closes the doorway of a machine chamber and automatically storing/laying the plate.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor plate storing/laying device 20 is provided with: a plate 1 that is divided into a plurality; a roller 2 that is installed in each of the divided plates 1; a rail 3 which is provided to be continuous via bent parts on the doorway 12a of a machine chamber 12 and the vertical wall 12b of the machine chamber and on which each plate 1 moves via the roller 2; a rope 7 for fixing each plate 1 with the roller 2; a motor 8 to which the end of the rope 7 of the doorway 12a side of the machine chamber is connected and which moves each plate 1 on the rail 3 by slackening or winding the rope 7; and a weight plate 10 to which the end of the rope 7 of the vertical wall side of the machine chamber is connected and which tows each plate 1 along the vertical wall of the machine chamber of the rail 3 via the rope 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
