Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament with a plurality of knobby projections formed thereon by solving the conventional technique in which all plated areas (thin films) are smoothly worked.SOLUTION: A method for working an ornament by electric plating includes: a first step of attaching an ornament body, a part of which is masked, to a negative electrode in a plating tank, attaching a metal to a positive electrode, and electrifying thereto to form knobby projections with a diameter of 1 mm or more at a part other than the masked part; and a second step of, after the electrification, pulling it up therefrom and removing the masking.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
