Abstract:
To provide a tire mold capable of preventing occurrence of vulcanization failure in a wide range in a tire radial direction, and to provide a pneumatic tire prepared by using the tire mold.SOLUTION: A tire mold having a side formation face for forming the side wall of a pneumatic tire comprises: a side formation face forming a corresponding smooth face on an area corresponding to the area inside a tire maximum width position of the side wall in a tire radial direction in order to form the smooth face on the above area; a first continuous groove provided in the corresponding area and extending in a tire mold radial direction corresponding to the tire radial direction; and an air vent path provided inside the tire mold for venting air from the side formation face when vulcanizing the tire using the mold. The groove depth of the first continuous groove undulates along the radial direction of the tire mold, and the air vent path is open on the groove bottom of a deep groove part in which a groove becomes deep. The pneumatic tire is prepared by using the above mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
