Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire capable of improving the durability of the tire by arranging belt cover layers and improving fuel efficiency by devising a cord structure of steel cords constituting a belt layer. In the pneumatic tire, a tread portion (1) includes a belt layer (7) made of a steel cord (10) covered with a rubber composition on an outer side in a tire radial direction of a carcass layer (4) and a belt cover layer (8) made of an organic filament cord covered with a rubber composition on an outer side in the tire radial direction of the belt layer (7). The steel cord (10) has a structure in which two sheath filaments having a diameter of 0.32 mm ± 0.01 mm are spirally twisted on an outer circumferential side of two untwisted core filaments having a diameter of 0.32 mm ± 0.01 mm, and the belt cover layer (8) is disposed so as to cover an entire width of the belt layer (7).
