Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic tire capable of further reducing road noise derived from the tire, while enhancing steering stability, as well as, preventing air leakage, which cannot be achieved simultaneously by a conventional method of softening the cap tread rubber.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has: an inner liner rubber thickness of 0.3 to 20 mm; a ratio, 50 parts or more, of a butyl-based rubber to 100 parts of rubbers that constitute an inner liner rubber; a ratio, 30 parts or more, of a carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 25 to 100 m2/g, to 100 parts of the rubbers that constitute the inner liner rubber; and hardness values (Hs cap) and (Hs IL) of a cap tread rubber and the inner liner rubber at 20°C, and gas permeation coefficients (permeation coefficient cap) and (permeation coefficient IL) of the cap tread rubber and the inner liner rubber that satisfy the following formulae: 0.7≤(Hs cap)/(Hs IL)≤1.7; and 2.5≤(transmission coefficient cap)/(transmission coefficient IL)≤7.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None
