Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film that is excellent in optical transparency and heat resistance and has a low linear expansion coefficient at a high temperature and to provide a method for producing the polyimide film.SOLUTION: The polyimide film contains at least one kind of repeating units represented by formula (7) and (8) a cis end-to-end isomer thereof. In the polyimide film, the total amount of repeating units represented by formula (7) and (8) a cis end-to-end isomer thereof is 90 mol% or more based on the total repeating units; the linear expansion coefficient at 350°C is 10 ppm/°C or less; and the average linear expansion coefficient obtained from length change in a temperature range of 50 to 400°C under the condition in a nitrogen atmosphere and at a programming rate of 5°C/min is 15 ppm/°C or less.
