Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer connection portion for a power cable that is lighter as compared with a case where a porcelain insulator is used, can demonstrate a self-standing property to maintain its posture even when it is used in a horizontal posture, and can be enhanced in freedom of installation.SOLUTION: A polymer connection portion for a power cable includes a polymeric porcelain tube having a cable insertion hole into which the end of a stripped power cable is inserted, the polymeric porcelain tube includes an insulator made of a polymer material, a metallic buried pipe which is embedded in an inner peripheral surface of the insulator so as to face an end of the power cable, and a flange structure. The flange structure includes a metallic buried flange which is buried in the outer peripheral surface side of the insulator so that a first fitting surface is exposed from the insulator, and an external flange having a second fitting surface which is fitted to the first fitting surface, protrudes outwards in the radial direction of the polymeric porcelain insulator beyond the buried flange, and fitted to another member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
