Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer actuator which is flexible and improves displacement responsiveness, and a manufacturing method capable of easily manufacturing the polymer actuator.SOLUTION: A polymer actuator 101 comprises an electrolyte layer 11 and a pair of electrode layers 12 which are provided on both surfaces of the electrolyte layer 11 in a thickness direction, and is deformed in accordance with a voltage between the pair of electrode layers 12. At least one of the pair of electrode layers 12 includes a first collector layer 13 containing metal particles and a second collector layer 23 formed from a metallic thin film of the same metal. The manufacturing method includes: an electrode layer formation step P1 for forming the electrode layer 12 of gel containing conductive particles, an ion liquid and polymers; a first collector layer formation step P2 for forming the first collector layer 13 containing the metal particles by applying a dispersion in which metal particles are dispersed, to the electrode layer 11 and vaporizing a solvent; and a second collector layer formation step P3 for forming the second collector layer 23 by depositing the metal under vacuum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
