Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyoxyalkylene-modified vinyl acetal polymer which has plasticity and solubility in alcoholic solvents, and provides a solution having a low viscosity and stability, and from which a slurry having superior particle dispersibility and thixotropic properties and a sheet having excellent strength, easiness of peeling and flexibility can be obtained.SOLUTION: The polyoxyalkylene-modified vinyl acetal polymer is obtained by acetalizing a polyoxyalkylene-modified vinyl alcohol-based polymer and includes monomer units containing a block represented by formula (1) mentioned below and a block represented by formula (2) mentioned below. The polymer is characterized in that the content of the monomer units is 0.05-10 mol%, the viscosity average degree of polymerization is 150-5,000, and the degree of acetalization is 10-85 mol%.
