Abstract:
To provide a portable engine work machine which can be operated in appropriate timing depending on the situation.SOLUTION: A portable engine work machine (1) comprises: an internal combustion engine (2); and a control device (20) which detects a rotation speed of the internal combustion engine and controls the rotation speed. The control device shifts an actuation mode of the internal combustion engine to a fast idle mode (M2) for preventing a fast idle rotation speed from becoming higher than a clutch-in rotation speed after start of the internal combustion engine and then shifts the internal combustion engine to an intermediate idle mode (M3) for performing control defining an intermediate idle rotation speed which is higher than a normal idle rotation speed and lower than the clutch-in rotation speed, as a target. When the rotation speed exceeds an upper limit value (R3U) or a lower limit value (R3L) in the intermediate idle mode, the control device cancels the intermediate idle mode and shifts the internal combustion engine to the other actuation mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
