Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable processing machine (a circular saw) including a structure which can stably fix an auxiliary device, such as a parallel ruler, to a base.SOLUTION: A dustproof circular saw 1 has a base 10, a parallel ruler 80, and a ruler fixing device 81. The base 10 supports a circular saw body and is installed at a processed material. The parallel ruler 80 is applied to a side surface of the processed material when the circular saw body is moved along the side surface. The parallel ruler 80 has: a connection bar 80b which is slidably installed at a ruler holding groove 10e of the base 10; and a ruler body extending from an end part of the connection bar 80b positioned at the outer side of the base 10 along a side edge of the base 10. The ruler fixing device 81 has: a hole 86c provided at the base 10; a shaft member 85 which is threadedly engaged with the hole 86c; and a pressing member 87 which is provided at an end part of the shaft member 85 and presses the connection bar 80b to the ruler holding groove 10e. A hole area including the hole 86c is formed by a material having higher abrasion resistance than the other area of the base 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
