Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient position information management system.SOLUTION: A position information management system comprises: a communication device which has position information of the communication device; a radio terminal which has identification information and communicates with the communication device; and a management server which manages a position of the radio terminal. The radio terminal comprises: position information reception means which receives position information from the communication device; and identification information transmission means which transmits the identification information of the radio terminal with the received position information to the communication device. The management server comprises: reception means which receives the identification information and the position information from the communication device; management means which manages the position of the radio terminal in association with the reception time on the basis of the identification information and the position information; change means which, if the position of the radio terminal does not change for a predetermined time or longer, prolongs current reception intervals of the position information and transmission intervals of the identification information; and transmission means which transmits the reception intervals of the position information and the transmission intervals of the identification information to the radio terminal.
