Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device placed on an image display device.SOLUTION: A position detection device includes: a resonance circuit; a transmission unit for transmitting an electromagnetic wave; a reception unit for receiving the electromagnetic wave radiated by the resonance circuit; a first ladder-like antenna by providing one-turn loop coils together and forming a ladder-shaped continuous loop coil; a second ladder-like antenna provided by rotating a similar ladder-shaped antenna by 90 degrees; a loop connection switching unit capable of selectively connecting both ends of a loop coil group; a transmission/reception switching unit capable of connecting a connection line from the loop connection switching unit with the transmission unit or the reception unit by switching between them; and a signal processing unit for calculating an instruction position on the basis of characteristic distribution of a received signal. The antennas allow people to visually recognize an opposite side. They are formed on a transparent base material. An opacity conductive material is made into a thin wire and a mesh shape. It is any of copper, aluminum or silver, or alloy including them. The reception unit includes a differential reception circuit and removes a common mode noise.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
