Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the grating lug of a positive electrode plate shaped so that damage on the grating lug due to corrosion of the grating body, which causes shortening of life of a lead acid battery, can be minimized, and to provide a positive electrode plate including such a grating lug, and a control valve type lead acid battery.SOLUTION: In a positive electrode plate for a control valve type lead acid battery including a grating body consisting of a grating filled with a positive electrode active material, and a grating lug continuous to the grating and responsible for power collection, the thickness t of the grating lug is 3 mm or more, the ratio w/t of the width w (mm) and the thickness t (mm) of the grating lug is 2.75 or more, and the ratio C/S of the theoretical capacity C (Ah) of the positive electrode active material filling the grating and the cross sectional area S (mm) of the lug is 2.75-5.00 (Ah/mm).
