Abstract:
A power control device 2 for a vehicle 1, that supplies power from a battery 6 and a fuel cell 8 that are mounted in the vehicle to an electric motor 3 for travel drive. After starting power generation by the fuel cell 8, a control unit 22: sets a target state of charge SOCt for the battery 6 so as to reduce as residual fuel Qf in the fuel cell 8 reduces; and controls the power generation output Pf of the fuel cell 8 on the basis of a deviation ΔSOC found by deducting the current state of charge SOC from the target state of charge SOCt. During control of this power generation output Pf, the rate of change of the power generation output Pf relative to the deviation ΔSOC is set to increase as the deviation ΔSOC increases as a positive value.
