Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and weight of a differential mechanism for changing a change gear ratio of a crank-type continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A differential mechanism 23 includes uncoupling mechanisms PGS1, PGS2 composed of first and second planetary gear mechanisms, and a speed reduction mechanism PGS3 composed of an eccentric planetary gear mechanism, the uncoupling mechanisms PGS1, PGS2 rotate a transmission shaft 15 at the same speed as an input shaft 12 in stopping an electric motor 24, and generate differential rotation between the transmission shaft 15 and the input shaft 12 in driving the electric motor 24, and the speed reduction mechanism PGS3 reduces a speed in the differential rotation, so that a change gear ratio of the power transmission device can be kept constant by stopping the electric motor 24, and the change gear ratio of the power transmission device can be changed by driving the electric motor 24. As the speed reduction mechanism PGS3 composed of the eccentric planetary gear mechanism is reduced in size and weight in comparison with a speed reduction mechanism composed of a single pinion type planetary gear mechanism having a stepped pinion, energy loss can be reduced by reducing stirring resistance of an oil for lubricating the differential mechanism 23, in addition to the reduction in size and weight of the differential mechanism 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
