Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission for a ship capable of enhancing a space efficiency in a ship.SOLUTION: A power transmission 1 comprises: an input shaft 20 to which rotation power is input from a main engine 2; a propulsion output shaft 30 for outputting rotation power to a propeller 3; propulsion clutches 41a, 42e for switching transmission and cut-off of the rotation power from the input shaft 20 to the propulsion output shaft 30; a power generation output shaft 50 for outputting rotation power to a handling power generator 4; a first speed increase mechanism 60 for increasing speed of the rotation power of the input shaft 20 at first speed increase ratio; a first power generation clutch 80 for switching transmission and cut-off of rotation power from the first speed increase mechanism 60 to the power generation output shaft 50; a second speed increase mechanism 70 for increasing speed of the rotation power of the input shaft 20 at second speed increase ratio; and a second power generation clutch 90 for switching transmission and cut-off of rotation power from the second speed increase mechanism 70 to the power generation output shaft 50. The first power generation clutch 80 has higher efficiency higher than that of the second power generation clutch 90.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
