Abstract:
To improve lubrication efficiency in a power transmission device.SOLUTION: A power transmission device 1 has a drive shaft 9, a differential mechanism 5 connected to the drive shaft 9, a differential case 50 that stores the differential mechanism 5, a pinion shaft 44 supported by the differential case 50, a stepped pinion gear 43 that has the pinion shaft 44 as an axis, and a sun gear 41 that engages with a large-diameter gear portion 431 of the stepped pinion gear 43. A first case portion 6 of the differential case 50 has a coupling beam 62 (column portion) adjacent to the stepped pinion gear 43 in a circumferential direction. On an inner peripheral surface 631 of a base portion 63 configuring the coupling beam 62, an oil path 637 supplying a lubricant to an engaging portion of the large-diameter gear portion 431 of the stepped pinion gear 43 and the sun gear 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
